Bishop Graham Usher presented the members of St. Peter’s Church with their Bronze Eco Church Certificate on Sunday 21st May. Haveringland has joined the club of churches taking steps to combat climate change and promote biodiversity.

In order to gain this award, members of Haveringland Church had to show through example the importance of caring for creation in areas such as worship, management of the church building and churchyard and promoting a more sustainable lifestyle.
Members of St. Peter’s Church are proud of achieving Bronze Eco Church status. As a rural Festival church with a small congregation, it was challenging to meet some of the requirements. But they have created an environment which is beautiful and tranquil for both humans and wildlife alike.
