Haveringland Village

Haveringland is a village in the English county of Norfolk about 13 kilometers (8 miles) north-west of Norwich. The parish covers an area of 8.9 square kilometers(3.4 square miles) and had a population of about 280 in 2022.

The original parish name ‘Haveringalanda’ comes from the Old English for “‘newly cultivated “land of Haefer’s  people” and a “site by watery meadows”. Haveringland, sometimes known as Haverland or Herverland, was well established by the time of the Norman Conquest and it was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086.
